Don’t Cry For Me…

DONT WEEP FOR ME WHEN I DIE
YOU NEVER COMFORTED ME
WHEN I WAS SICK AND, IN MY PLIGHT
YOU NEVER SHOWED ME EMPATHY, WHEN I CRIED
NO VISITS FROM YOU, WHEN THINGS WERE AWRY
WHEN I NEEDED A FRIEND WHEN I NEEDED AN ALLY
YOU WERE NEVER AROUND, YOU WERE NEVER BY MY SIDE
I DON'T WANT YOU TO CRY FOR ME WHEN I DIE
I DON'T WANT YOUR EXCUSES, NOR YOUR ALIBIS
DON’T MAKE UP FIBS OR LIES, YOUR ABSENCE IS NOT JUSTIFIED
I THOUGHT UPON YOU I COULD COUNT, ON YOU I COULD RELY
BELIEVED WE WERE A TEAM AND OUR FRIENDSHIP WAS TIGHT
NOW IT'S NIL, NOW IT'S VOID
SO PLEASE DON'T CRY, WHEN I AM GONE, WHEN I DIE
YOU PRETENDED WE WERE FRIENDS FOR LIFE
TOO LATE NOW, NO RECONCILIATION, BYE, BYE
MAYBE WE WILL BE FRIENDS AGAIN
AND REUNITE IN THE NEXT LIFETIME
